The problem is that I am essentially addicted to sales pages, the way they look(and feel), the way they promise such wealth, abundance and freedom from the mundane side of life, and the income of course, and the feelings they are somehow able to create within me, well I can’t resist, or couldn’t.
But now that I’ve bought most of them, I’m getting pretty hardened to it, and they have to be really, really good sales pages these days to get me to click through and get my credit card out! Often in my work I come across a really really great website and this is where I give them some qudos for their work. I am always quick to complain if something is not right and so it is my duty to also give praise and compliment when something is exactly right!
Today my website of the day is http://www.kiva.org/ - In their own words “Kiva is the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs around the globe. ”
Personally I think this is a terrific idea and a brilliant application of Internet technology. The website is not clear if lenders actually make a return on their loans, I suspect not, so in that sense it is a from of donation website where you will probably get your money back! Brilliant! Just look at the lives that have been changed, and remember no matter how little you think it is, if you have got money in your pocket; in the bank, or coins lying around on the side at home, then that in itself puts you in the top 10% wealthiest people in the world!
So if you lend $25 to someone in poverty who is trying to make something of their lives, and you never get it back, so what? How much did you spend at the pub lat week? How much did you spend on cigarettes last month? How much have you wasted on cars, clothes, shoes or must have gadgetry?

How Much Have You Spent on Get Rich Quick?
Cor blimey it’s been one heck of a ride. It started out with the Reverse Funnel System, now that was a sales page and a half! I ponderred long and hard on that one and in the end got my credit card out, for a little over $3,000 USD which i’m still paying off, doh!
I must have spent a further 500-1000 USD marketing the darn thing and completely lost my focus on my day job, whilst my loved ones around me were making supportive noises and looking, hoping that it was going to come good in the end. Bless em’ you have to admire the support that I have in my friends and family, not one of them told me I was being foolish or expressed concern, they all had absolute faith in me that I was doing the right thing! Eventually, I came full circle of course and reached a conclusion of my own, but how wonderful that I was able to reach that conclusion naturally without having to constantly battle my way against the opinions of those around me, I suppose that is where I have the extreme wealth that I have always been searching for.
It’s much like the acres of diamonds story about the farmer who travelled the world searching for diamonds and eventually died peniless and alone whilst back on his farm they discovered some of the biggest diamonds in history, like him I have had this wealth all along without realising it, but diamonds don’t look like diamonds in their natural form…….
